SHOOTER DETECTION

PANIC BUTTON

By leveraging existing infrastructure and communication paths, Alertus panic buttons provide immediate, easy, one-step emergency notification activation. Pressing the panic button will then activate notification alerts through other, integrated products—including the Alert Beacon, Alertus Desktop Notification, LED marquee display, text-to-speech interface for public address and giant outdoor speaker systems, fire alarm interface, VoIP phone alerting, and digital signage and cable television override. Panic button alerts are pre-set for general emergencies and are fully customizable depending on your needs. Our Panic buttons allow for custom event triggers to change the alert based on the time of day, day of the week, or date the panic button was activated, send alerts based on the group or location of the activating device or launch multiple alerts to different recipients for a single panic button activation.

DESKTOP NOTIFICATION

Truly effective mass emergency notification should effectively reach your users through multiple channels. We use Alertus Desktop™ Notification to grab the attention of your computer users immediately with a full screen (or optional partial screen) pop-up alert. When an emergency occurs and you activate a warning, a full-screen alert will appear on all or select PCs and Macs across your facilities. Alertus Desktop™ Notification can be activated through the Alertus Activation Software or your existing third-party personal recipient notification software. Alertus’ optional enhanced desktop notification solution also allows organizations to send non-emergency notifications using partial screen or ticker alerts that provide less intrusive but equally effective methods for communicating company-wide messages.

MOBILE ALERT

We partner with Alertus Technologies for their integrated mobile phone apps. This allows for immediate and enhanced mobile notification between authorized dispatchers and end-users. The Recipient App allows end users to not only receive push notifications, but also to quickly send geo-tagged incident reports to emergency management personnel via the panic button feature. The Activator App allows authorized dispatchers to quickly send emergency notification alerts to faculty, staff, students, or personnel via Android or iOS tablets or smartphones. All of these functions work together within the overall Mass Notification plan.

ALERT BEACON

Alert Beacons are designed to serve campuses, military bases, and other large facilities that presently lack an in-building emergency notification system and where retrofitting a conventional voice public address system is impractical and cost prohibitive. Alert Beacons are most effective when wall-mounted in prominent locations throughout the facility. In the event of an emergency, these devices flash and sound to capture the attention of building occupants at a distance and display a custom message about the nature of the emergency and how to respond. The Alert Beacon is designed to integrate with LED signs, Text-to-Speech, electronic door locks, or other external equipment to extend functionality for any location requirement. This innovative notification device is capable of working with legacy systems to ensure that no matter what systems you have, your organization can get the critical and time-sensitive alerts it needs

DIGITAL SIGNAGE

Many buildings employ digital signage and cable TV systems to transmit communications to staff and the public. Our notification software transforms these devices into emergency alerting systems with emergency alerts that scroll across signage to be easily read from a distance. Most LCD screens, LED marquees, cable television systems, and digital display media systems are supported. Our application supports playback of alert tones and voice messages on systems with audio output capabilities. Digital signage override software also integrates seamlessly with wall-mounted Alert Beacons® to ensure a unified emergency response.

BLUEPOINT ALERT

The BluePoint solution is built for crisis situations. With adrenaline flowing and panic setting in, the user interface has to be familiar, simple, and intuitive so that people will actually use it. No one has to be trained on how to activate it—only when to use it and what to do after activation. The solution is enhanced with wearable mobile pendants in addition to standard pull stations. This provides even greater ability for people moving about the building to immediately and securely activate the system if they see a problem. As a true life-safety solution, Bluepoint notifies all occupants of a building—long-term employees and visitors alike—to take precautions through strobe lights and audio messaging that reduces panic and confusion. Messaging includes a reminder of the response protocol (lockdown, run-hide-fight, etc.) as well as assurance that police are on their way. Strobe lights reinforce the messaging, especially in high ambient noise areas and outside buildings, warning people not to enter.
